Ho buns / Ellis buns

This recipe I have got from Elsebeths parental aunt – Ellis – who lives in Ho.  Her they are called “Mosterboller” (Moster = Maternal aunt) because the recipe originally comes from Sweden where Ellis’ sister lives.

The recipe is for 48 buns.

Dough

Stuffing

ca. 850 g

Flour

100 g

Margarine

50 g

Yeast

100 g

Sugar

150 g

Margarine

2 - 3 spoonfuls

Cinnamon

5 dl

Milk

˝ teaspoons

Salt

1 dl

Sugar

1

Egg

1 - 2 teaspoons

Cardamom

After the dough is mixed it must rise.

The ”stuffing” is mixed.

When the rise has finished the dough is rolled to a large plate and the ”stuffing is smeared over the dough before it is rolled to a big ”sausage”.

The sausage is cut in small slices and placed in small paper forms.  Must rise again.

Smear with egg and put sugar on.

Baked in an oven at 200 degrees in 12 - 15 min.
